Japan’s Kei Nishikori is the most successful male tennis player to hail from Asia. He became the only one from the east to have broken into the Top-5 on the ATP Tour when he claimed his spot as the World No.4. However, Nishikori has dealt with recurrent elbow and shoulder injuries which have led him to lose his dominance on the tour.

Even so, currently ranked as the World No.41, Kei is keen to make his much awaited comeback in 2021. While the former U.S Open runner-up tried to regain his form in the latter half of 2020, he was unsuccessful in doing so. He was ousted in the first rounds of the Austrian Open Kitzbuel and the German Open. Further, Nishikori didn’t make it past the second round at the Italian Open and French Open. He was plagued by cyclical physical problems which did not allow him to partake in any other tournaments.
