Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut has had an amazing 2021 season so far. He has reached two finals this season, in Marseille and in Doha last week.

Bautista Agut put on a great performance in the second round, beating the in form Matthew Ebden 4-1 before Ebden had to retire due to injury. He seems to have picked himself up quite strongly after that shocking defeat to Nikoloz Basilashvili last week in the Final of the Doha Open, and it is great to see him still playing at a very high level.

Jannik Sinner vs Roberto Bautista Agut: Prediction

Roberto Bautista Agut

RBA is one of the most consistent players on the ATP Tour. Getting the better of him is not an easy task but Sinner has the Arsenal to do it.

Jannik Sinner has an aggressive game with very few weaknesses; his backhand in particular is already among the best in the world. The 19-year-old can also create some incredible angles with his forehand, and has more than decent foot speed too.

The Italian can definitely put up a fight, but the conditions are perfectly suited for RBA to win and make his way to the quarter finals. This might be a 3 setter, but will be a RBA victory.

Prediction: Bautista Agut to win in three sets.
