Russian tennis star Andrey Rublev won the quarter-finals of the tournament by defeating Mackenzie McDonald with a score of 2-6,6-3,6-1, he won the round of 16 by defeating Keon Soon-woo with the score of 4-6,6-0,6-3. Ahead of this, he played at the ATP Marseille 2022, where he won the quarter-finals by defeating Lucas Pouille with a score of 6-3,1-6,6-2. He then won the semifinals by defeating Benjamin Bonzie and later won the finals by knocking out Felix Auger Aliassime.

Hubert Hurkacz is a Polish professional tennis player. His current ranking according to the Association of Tennis Professionals is World No.11 although his highest ranking was World No.9.
