Carlos Alcaraz vs. Jannik Sinner: Match Preview
Carlos Alcaraz is the player with the most titles on the men’s tour this season, having clinched eight from 10 finals. These eight titles include the French Open and the US Open, which he won by defeating Jannik Sinner.

Alcaraz also added three Masters 1000s to his name, winning at the Monte Carlo Masters by defeating Lorenzo Musetti, the Italian Open, and the Cincinnati Masters against Sinner. Apart from these trophies, the six-time Grand Slam champion also lifted his career’s first indoor hardcourt title at the Rotterdam Open against Alex de Minaur.
He added his fourth grass-court title to his trophy cabinet by defeating Jiri Lehecka at the Queen’s Club Championship. The last time he won a tournament was in his maiden appearance at the Japan Open against Taylor Fritz.
Following Tokyo, Alcaraz skipped the Shanghai Masters because of an ankle injury he suffered during the first round of the Japan Open. Then to his disappointment, Alcaraz suffered a first-round exit at the Paris Masters, with a three-set defeat at the hands of Cameron Norrie.
Sinner is bidding to win his sixth title of the season. Following his Australian Open title defense with a straight-set win over Alexander Zverev, the four-time Grand Slam champion stayed on the sidelines for three months due to his doping ban.
Upon returning, he played the final of the Italian Open, losing the match to Alcaraz, who, as mentioned, defeated him at Roland Garros, Cincinnati, and the US Open. After his French Open heartbreak, Sinner took his revenge by denying the World No.2 a three-peat at Wimbledon.
Following the US Open, Sinner ended the China Open in his favor, but failed to defend the Shanghai Masters as cramps forced him to give the walkover to Tallon Griekspoor in the third round. After defending his Six Kings Slam title against Alcaraz, Sinner won back-to-back titles at the Vienna Open and the Paris Masters.
These two wins helped him dethrone Alcaraz from the rankings table. Alcaraz, however, will be ending the season as the year-end No.1 even if Sinner wins the title clash.
Carlos Alcaraz vs. Jannik Sinner: Match Prediction
Because of Sinner’s indoor hardcourt performance, the World No.1 has an edge over Alcaraz. The Spaniard has suffered ups and downs on the surface, but Sinner is on a 30-match winning streak.

In the head-to-head matchups, the 24-year-old trails 5-10, winning only at Wimbledon in their last eight matches. The upcoming match will be their sixth encounter this season.
Match prediction: Jannik Sinner to win in three sets.
