Jannik Sinner is all set to start his title defense in Turin. In the ongoing ATP Finals, the Italian will be up against Felix Auger-Aliassime in his first round robin match of Group Bjorn Borg.

Felix Auger-Aliassime has played so far five finals, clinching three titles. He kick-started the 2025 season by defeating Sebastian Korda in the Adelaide International final.

The 25-year-old added one more ATP 250 title to his name when he defeated Aleksandar Kovacevic in the Open Sud de France. He missed the ATP 500 Dubai Open with a straight-set defeat to two-time Grand Slam finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Jiri Lehecka was his opponent in the final of the European Open, which Auger-Aliassime won. He came close to claiming his career’s first Big Title when he reached the Paris Masters final.

Alcaraz then stopped the 24-year-old from defending his title at the Cincinnati Masters and the US Open. Following his US Open defeat, Sinner lost the No.1 title to Alcaraz but once again reached the top when he clinched the Vienna Open and the Paris Masters. Before Vienna, Sinner also took home the China Open by defeating Learner Tien.

Auger-Aliassime’s participation depended on Djokovic’s run at the Athens Open. Musetti’s defeat in the final secured the Canadian ace the eighth spot, but because Djokovic ended up withdrawing on the eve of the event, Musetti got the chance to make his debut.

Prior to this season, Sinner trailed 0-2 in the head-to-head matchups against the World No.8. But since August, Sinner has won all three matches he played against Auger-Aliassime: in the Cincinnati Masters quarterfinal, US Open semifinal, and the Vienna Open final. The wins helped the four-time Grand Slam champion improve his head-to-head lead to 3-2.
