Nineteen year old Italian Sinner is the next big thing in tennis, a lot of people have believed in it for a while now, and at the Miami Open the 21 st seed is giving credence to those claims. Sinner had a bye in the first round, in the second he overcame Hugo Gaston 6-2 6-2. In the third he defeated the 14th seed Karen Khachanov.

In a hard fought three set encounter, Sinner prevailed 4-6 7-6 6-4. In the fourth round Sinner got the better of Finnish player Emil Ruusuvuori 6-3 6-2. Sinner’s Quarter-Final opponent is Alexander Bublik. Bublik is seeded 32nd for this event ,and he had a bye in the first round.

In the second and third round he got the better of Laslo Đere and James Duckworth. His real challenge came in the fourth round in the form of American Taylor Fritz. Bublik beat Fritz 6-7 6-3 6-4.
