Austin Cindric has had a very lackluster season up until now in the NASCAR Cup Series. The Penske team driver has finished in the top 5 only once out of all the races this season. Since his Daytona 500 win in 2022, Cindric hasn’t produced a race win-worthy run in the top-tier, other than few occasional charges, and last season he was among the underperformed drivers in the garage.

Ahead of the NASCAR Cup Series race at COTA Austin Cindric shared his thoughts on why the road-course test came at the right time for him and his team. He and his team are fully committed to improving their results and starting anew. The Ford driver is among the most gifted Road Course racers on the grid and sure has the ability win the event if he can execute well.

I think it’s a great opportunity for us to kind of get back on track and hit the reset button. The last couple of weeks have been pretty funky with getting knocked out the first couple of laps at Phoenix and then obviously last week’s craziness and all the tire failures that we experienced.

The number 2 from Team Penske seems to be in good spirits ahead of the race at COTA. He also spoke about how he and his team should go into the race weekend without any second thoughts in the back of their heads from previous races. Cindric will definitely want to obtain a good result in order to impress his fans and his team.

Austin Cindric’s thoughts on the COTA Track

The Circuit of the Americas( COTA) is one of the fastest and smooth-flowing tracks that NASCAR drivers are able to drive in. Ahead of the race there this weekend, drivers seem to be very excited to drive at the fast-paced track.

Team Penske driver Austin Cindric shares his thoughts on the track before the race this weekend. He added how the track poses a different challenge to the usual issues he and his team have been facing in the last few weeks such as tire wear issues at Bristol, and the crash at Phoenix.

I think it has everything – every type of corner imaginable. High speed, low speed, lefts and rights, braking zones, medium speed corners, There is some tire wear. We’ve got some patches in some places, but if anything, that will make the tire wear maybe a little bit less, and I also don’t feel like this tire necessarily wears any more than any of the rest. You go through the whole gearbox.
Austin Cindric said.

The No. 2 Ford Mustang Dark Horse driver commended the track as an entirely different challenge from any previous tracks that he’s raced at this season. The driver will definitely want to display his racing acumen here in order to finally have a good, clean weekend.
