Australian Open 2021: Thanasi Kokkinakis shares special message he received from Roger Federer after first round win

Australia’s Thanasi Kokkinakis was off to the perfect start at the Australian Open 2021 as he defeated World No. 267, Kwon Soon-Woo in the first round with ease. To further add to his delight, he also got a special message from tennis ace Roger Federer on his Instagram.
Kokkinakis looked extremely comfortable on court facing his opponent as he did not give Soon-Woo a sniff in his facile victory with a scoreline of 6-4, 6-1, 6-1. The Australian however, has a very difficult assignment as he faces World No. 6 Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas in the second round. However, he will be up for it having pulled off upsets in the past including most famously that of Federer himself in the 2018 Miami Open.
