According to the reports from sources, Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho will join Aston Villa at the end of the season after the negotiations between the club are successfully done.

Fabrizio Romano, a transfer specialist, has claimed in a tweet that Barcelona has agreed to a deal for the Brazilian forward and has announced that he is now an official Aston Villa player. Steven Gerrard was powerfully linked with the transfer as the former Liverpool legend influenced the Brazilian star to join the team.

Romano said on Twitter, “Total agreement reached between Barcelona & Aston Villa for Philippe Coutinho. The deal is now completed and set to be announced: Coutinho will become an Aston Villa player on a permanent deal. Steven Gerrard was key for Philippe to continue with Aston Villa.”

Coutinho joined Aston Villa on loan from Barcelona and has impressed since his return to the Premier League after he left Liverpool to move to Spain four years ago.

In Villa, Coutinho has impressed in his first eight games as he made his presence felt in seven-goal contributions for the side, although he failed to score or assist in his last eight matches. After his impressive performance, the English side has decided to keep the ex-Barcelona man for the upcoming seasons. Due to such performances, the odds of Aston Villa have also rose drastically on the best sportsbooks in USA.

The Brazilian star, Philippe Coutinho, joined the Catalans in 2018 with a transfer amount of £142million after playing for four years for Liverpool. He joined Barcelona as a replacement for Andres Iniesta and since then he has been one of the best players for the Spanish side. He has played around 110 games and scored 26 goals since then. He went to Bayern Munich on loan but returned to the Blaugranas and spent four years before heading to Aston Villa in January.

Coutinho might not have the greatest of statistics but his presence on the field has impacted Barcelona at various times that helped the other players to score and make assists. He has always been the game maker at both Liverpool and in Spain.
