Former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Bart Scott did not hold back when addressing Najee Harris‘ recent remarks about the Pittsburgh Steelers. Harris, now with the Los Angeles Chargers, has openly reflected on his time in Pittsburgh, hinting at dissatisfaction with the team’s facilities and his overall experience.

Since signing a one-year deal with the Chargers, Harris has made several comments about his former team. Harris admitted that while he learned a lot, he could have done more. Although he didn’t go much into the details, it was evident that Harris had harbored some level of malice against this previous team.

Bart Scott, speaking on ESPN’s Get Up, took issue with Harris’s remarks, calling him “ungrateful” for not appreciating what he had with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

You ungrateful, dude. Listen, how fortunate is it for you to be in the playoffs every year of your career? That doesn’t just happen. And when he leaves, sometimes you realize how good you had it.

Bart Scott said

Najee Harris was a key player for Pittsburgh, rushing for over 1,000 yards in each of his first four seasons. He was also named a team captain in his second year, but was never re-elected after that. Despite his consistent production, the Steelers ultimately decided to move on from him.

Both sides are now heading in different directions, but Harris’s comments have not sat well with many Steelers fans. As he prepares for his new chapter with the Chargers, it remains to be seen whether he will continue speaking about his time in Pittsburgh or shift his focus entirely to Los Angeles.

Mike Florio defends Najee Harris amid backlash

Whether the Steelers’ fans love it or not, Najee Harris could have done a lot more for the team. The Steelers, despite being consistent and keeping a winning record for almost the last two decades, have failed to covet the prized Lombardi. The Steelers often choke in the endings of the season and crash out in the postseason quite dramatically.

Najee Harris has been criticized for his thoughts on the Steelers from many angles. However, Mike Florio has come to his defense. Florio noted that Harris is an amazing footballer with great skills and brings a winning mindset to the team he’s playing.

He claimed that the Los Angeles Chargers are going to receive good support in the upcoming season with Harris in tow. Speaking on PFT, Florio also confessed that he found Harris’s reveal-all was inspiring and gave a glimpse into his personality.

Hearing him explain his experience in Pittsburgh makes it even more impressive, because I could see his attitude was, I don’t know what the hell is going on. You know what? I’m just going to run as hard as I can. I’m just going to give me the ball, and I’m going to run as hard as I can, because that’s what I know, and that’s what I’m going to do, and that’s football, and I think that’s going to help the Chargers.

Mike Florio stated

The Los Angeles Chargers were one of the most resilient teams in the AFC last season. The Chargers put up a close fight against the Kansas City Chiefs, emerging as a potential division winner in the upcoming seasons. With Najee Harris signed as a running back, the Chargers will be able to develop more on-ground runs and convert them into points to secure a spot once again.
