Cam Newton recently welcomed a daughter with his girlfriend Jasmin Brown. With that development in the relationship, the former discussed his future plans for marriage. In an unexpected turn of events, the former football QB caught heat on the internet for his prospects.
Cam Newton recently sat down with Dr. Sarah Fontenot on his ‘Funky Friday’ podcast and talked about a wide variety of things. During the podcast, the latter straight up asked the athlete about his marriage plans with girlfriend Jasmin Brown. Leaving ambiguity in his response, Newton did not shy away from accepting his disbelief in marriage being the ultimate goal. However, he still wanted to get married, just not with what he called ‘trauma bonding’ over the idea of marriage and children.
That’s the way that the propaganda of life that everybody has been putting in our faces to say, ‘ok get married, have kids, whatever.’ Not overlooking or not identifying that, that’s still a way for the devil to look or dwell in.

This particular clip, posted by TheShadeRoom Instagram account, instantly caught fire on the internet. In addition to that, the media outlet posted several other clips of Newton talking about his relationship and his opinions on the subject. Suffice it to say, that the people in the comments section were not happy with the NFL quarterback’s responses.
However, this wasn’t the first time Newton opened up about his relationship. In a previous interview back in August, he went viral for making some other controversial statements about marriage. Newton then argued that his “desire to get married” was lesser than his “fear of divorce.”
Jasmin Brown recently opened up on Cam Newton admitting infidelity
Back in October, Cam Newton confessed about his sexual engagements with other people while he was with his girlfriend Jasmin Brown. The confession led to a load of criticism and backlash towards the retired NFL quarterback. Many people tagged the American actress to comment on his statement, leading to Jasmin Brown opening up on the issue.
However, Brown’s response was not what the users expected. Primarily, she shut down the sympathies people sent her over the DMs. Later in defense of her relationship Jasmin Brown stated that she knew who Newton was. Additionally, the actress admitted to having known about the infidelity as she mentioned that there were no secrets between the two.
In a continuation of her Instagram stories, Brown shared people’s perspectives on being single instead of committing to a relationship. Answering that, she said that she understood ‘men’s physical needs’. The statement once again immediately created controversy.
