“She’s Steph Curry in a wig” – Caitlin Clark STUNS basketball world with 41-point performance to eliminate LSU

Caitlin Clark beats Angel Reese and LSU with a 41-point performance to reach NCAA Final Four

The saga of Caitlin Clark‘s college basketball career continues to bring out the best in her. Tonight, the greatest scorer in college basketball won last year’s rematch against rival Angel Reese and the LSU Tigers. She did that by putting up a tournament-leading 41-point performance, leaving the basketball world stunned.

Heading into tonight, the spotlight on basketball was on the NCAA Elite Eight matchup between Iowa and LSU. While many considered this Caitlin Clark‘s revenge game, she did not feel it so and rather just wanted to focus on winning an NCAA championship.

Keeping that goal in mind, the Iowa native balled out, putting up big shot after big shot en route to finishing with 41 points and 12 assists. Her performance was enough to counter the production of LSU’s two leading scorers, Angel Reese and Flau’jae Johnson.

The game was not easy for the college superstar. After initially racing to a commanding lead, her greatest rival, Reese, put her team on her back and brought the scores level at halftime. However, Clark would have none of it, as she brought out her signature logo threes to put the game beyond the reach of the defending champions.

What made the performance so special was that LSU tried to keep Clark at bay with the same bump and harass defensive scheme as last year. The difference this time was that, once Clark dissected the scheme, she countered it with her long-range threes. LSU had no answer to that.

Basketball world in awe with Caitlin Clark’s domination

The basketball world witnessed a superstar take over the game. And she did that despite facing the same music she was forced to listen to last year.

Only the best of the best can do that. Thus, as basketball fans watched Clark turn the game on its head, they had to give her their roses.

Fans were happy both of their superstars turned in all-out performances. However, Clark’s performance made fans grin. Hence when the game ended, fans jumped onto social media and poured their hearts out. Sharing a wide spectrum of reactions online, here’s what fans have to say:

Caitlin Clark has returned to the NCAA Final Four for the second straight year. Basketball fans will cherish this game-winning 41-point performance, as one for the ages.
