Charles Barkley brings out a hilarious comment on Alabama on the eve of the NCAA Final Four game against UConn
Charles Barkley does not need a specific location to bring out his hilarious one-liners. They come out, especially if it happens to consist of something he usually trolls. Tonight, as the University of Alabama went up against UConn in the NCAA Final Four, Barkley brought out a comment that has gone viral again.
During the March Madness halftime show, the Alabama Crimson Tide were just 4 points off the tournament favorite Huskies.

Naturally, the ‘Chuckster’ had to joke about Alabama, considering his long-standing hatred for the team. As expected, This statement did manage to bring out the laughter from his co-panelists.
For context, his reference was to the beer brands that would be needed if Alabama managed to upset the tournament favorites. It alludes to his previous jokes that the people of Alabama are drunks and need all the lager in the world to be happy.
If Alabama were to win the NCAA Final Four, Charles Barkley, an Auburn standout, suggests the entire arena would go wild. This is why the amount of lager needed to celebrate the famous win would not be enough.
Charles Barkley avoided a nightmare as UConn defeated Alabama
Thankfully, the amount of lager needed was avoided as the Alabama Crimson Tide folded to the UConn Huskies at the end of the game. The Huskies are known to play dominating basketball. After their grit helped them to keep pace in the first half, the Crimson Tide did not have an answer to the elite play the Huskies showed out in the second half.
The UConn men’s basketball team ensured their play was enough to book a ticket to their second straight NCAA Championship game. The defending champions are favorites to win it all. However, they will not have an easy game against Purdue. Subsequently, Zach Edey and Donovan Clingan will have a big-man battle for the ages on Sunday.
At least Charles Barkley could breathe a sigh of relief when Alabama lost. He has had to endure the emotions throughout the tournament. And now he can appreciate good basketball without feeling the nerves.
