Becky Lynch doesn’t take kindly to any AJ Lee gloss-up on the timeline. ‘The Black Widow’ has been a thorn in Lynch’s side ever since plotting her sensational return to WWE last September. Lee’s husband, CM Punk, was recently asked about what that moment meant to him. ‘The Best in the World’, in conversation with Sam Roberts, said it like only he could.
Punk asserted that every top moment of his career or life intersected with Lee coming back to WWE. The World Heavyweight Champion added that he simply tried showcasing in the moment that it was all about his wife returning to sit under the shade of trees that she planted 12 years ago. Punk’s assessment of Lee didn’t leave Becky Lynch impressed at all.
Typical GLAZING by the wrestling media!!! SURPRISE SURPRISE it’s SUCK UP SCAM ROBERTS! When we look back years from now, experts will say I was RIGHT about EVERYTHING!! COMPLETE MORON Punk and ABSOLUTE JOKE Lee are FRAUDS!!! DON’T LISTEN TO THE MEDIA!! https://t.co/hWoyE7ppJT

‘The Man’ trashed the fan-favorite couple on X. First of all, she dragged the host of Notsam Wrestling, Sam Roberts, for glazing about what happened. The reigning women’s Intercontinental Champion ridiculed the Raw Recap presenter by calling him “SUCK UP SCAM ROBERTS!”
She then mocked CM Punk and AJ Lee by referring to them as “COMPLETE MORON PUNK” and “ABSOLUTE JOKE LEE.” Lynch urged the fans not to listen to the media and deemed Punk & Lee as frauds. Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins were involved in a mixed tag team feud last year, with four of them duking it out at Wrestlepalooza.
Lynch tapped out to Lee’s Black Widow in an ending she whined about on social media by slamming the match referee for her crooked officiating. The next time these women stood across from each other was inside WarGames at Survivor Series. ‘The Crazy Chick’ once again made the ‘Big Time Becks’ submit to extend her lead against the Irishwoman.
Becky Lynch looks back on the 1-year history of the women’s IC title in a gloating post
It’s been exactly a year since the women’s Intercontinental Championship was debuted in WWE. On the second-ever Raw on Netflix, Lyra Valkyria beat Dakota Kai to earn the distinction of being the title’s inaugural holder. ‘The Man’ took to X and mocked her compatriot as “LOSER LYRA.” But now that the women’s IC title belt is resting on Lynch’s shoulders, it has made that championship the most prestigious in the pro wrestling space.

She also threw shade at Raw GM Adam Pearce for stacking the deck against her time and again. Lynch ultimately boasted about herself being ‘The Man’, who’s always up to every challenge and proving her haters wrong.
‘The Irish Lass Kicker’ won the IC title back from Maxxine Dupri on the 1-year anniversary episode of Raw on Netflix. It’s worth noting that Dupri had upset Lynch at a Raw taping at Madison Square Garden after AJ Lee showed up during the match.
The former Divas Champion’s mere presence was enough to distract ‘The Man’, who eventually succumbed to Maxxine Dupri. Lynch would rant about Lee unjustly walking through that curtain without possessing a manager’s license. ‘The Big Time Becks’ even vowed to take legal action if the result of that match didn’t get revoked.
One year ago, the women’s Intercontinental championship was won by LOSER LYRA! Big whoop!! Now, because I’M holding the gold, people say this title means more than ANY OTHER CHAMPIONSHIP in the world of pro wrestling! Instead of THANKING ME, the media continues to spread LIES!… pic.twitter.com/XlckG84uyJ

The big story coming out of it was the fact that Lee cost Lynch, and it was done to further their rivalry, which culminated inside WarGames at the time. However, it’s far from over between Lee and Lynch. They’re heavily rumored for a high-octane singles match, which, in all likelihood, seems to be the working plan for this year’s WrestleMania.
I feel like AJ Lee vs. Becky Lynch is the only match 1000% locked in for Mania.

‘The Man’ has a title defense on next week’s Raw in Belfast, where she would have the backing of her countrymen against Dupri, who might crumble in a hostile territory. It’d be interesting to see if WWE plans on having the women’s IC title on the line when Lynch and Lee do get their chance to take on each other one-on-one.
