Becky Lynch, one of the greatest WWE stars of all time, is set to miss this year’s WrestleMania. The Man has been absent from programming since dropping her Women’s World Title to Liv Morgan last May. While rumors swirled about her imminent return, Lynch recently made a shocking revelation about her WWE future.
During her appearance on The Ultimate Improv Show, the former Women’s Champion hyped up WrestleMania season but confirmed she won’t be part of this year’s event. Becky Lynch revealed she has no immediate plans to return to the ring, adding that while a comeback could happen someday, that day is not right now.
Sensing the crowd’s disappointment, the WWE legend quickly shifted focus, highlighting that her husband, Seth Rollins, would be performing in the main event of WrestleMania. It seems Big Time Becks is enjoying her time away from the ring, focusing on other ventures and, most importantly, the upbringing of her daughter Roux — a role she called the most essential part of her life right now.

Moreover, fans heavily expected the former Women’s Champion to return during Raw’s Netflix debut, but WWE ultimately replaced her with The Undertaker. Many also expected her to enter the Women’s Royal Rumble, but that didn’t happen either. This latest update comes as a disappointment for fans who had been eagerly awaiting her WWE comeback.
Becky Lynch to miss her first WrestleMania since 2021?
Becky Lynch has had a remarkable career at WrestleMania, competing in multiple Women’s Title matches and even headlining the event. However, this year, she is on the brink of missing her first WrestleMania appearance since 2021.

The Man has competed in seven WrestleMania’s throughout her career. Her debut came in 2016 when she faced Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks for the WWE Women’s Championship. However, in 2021, Big Time Becks was unable to attend WrestleMania due to pregnancy. She made her return at WrestleMania 38 and continued to compete in the following two editions.
That said, many believe the former Women’s Champion could still make an appearance at WrestleMania 41 in some capacity. While she may not be part of an active wrestling storyline, a backstage segment alongside Seth Rollins or other stars remains a strong possibility. As of now, it remains to be seen what the future holds for her in professional wrestling.
Who could be Becky Lynch’s opponent following her potential return?
There’s no shortage of superstars eager to share the ring with Becky Lynch. Since her departure, several new names have risen through the ranks, including impressive NXT call-ups. Talents like Lyra Valkyria, Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, and Roxanne Perez all present exciting potential matchups for The Man when she eventually makes her return.

The Lady of Opera has often referred to Lynch as her mentor, citing Big Time Becks as a major inspiration even before stepping into professional wrestling. She has expressed a strong desire to face Lynch on the main roster someday. Meanwhile, Tiffany Stratton shares a notable history with Lynch from their brief but impactful feud during Lynch’s NXT stint in 2023.
Given Stratton’s current momentum on the main roster, a rematch with the former Women’s Champion could easily become a highly anticipated dream encounter in WWE. Additionally, Lynch recently made bold remarks about both Roxanne Perez and CM Punk, sparking fan speculation and fantasy booking surrounding a potential showdown with The Prodigy. If it ever happens, it could be yet another iconic clash in the making for the coming years.
