At the Royal Rumble PPV, Ronda Rousey made her successful comeback. She went on to dominate the show’s women’s battle royal and finally won it by eliminating Smackdown women’s champion, Charlotte Flair. For WrestleMania 38, the rowdy one can now choose her opponent. Becky Lynch, the SmackDown women’s champion, is prepared to face Rousey if she chooses her, though she does not believe it will be a good idea.

After last night’s PPV, Ariel Helwani followed up with Lynch and interviewed her about the change of events. Becky started off by congratulating Ronda on the birth of her child. She did not, however, fail to say that she is the champion. When asked if she believes Rousey will choose her, The Man stated that she is unsure. Becky stated:
“Here’s the thing, Ariel, she hasn’t done this in three years. I don’t know that she’s gonna want to go into the full meal. You know what I mean? Like, sometimes you have to warm up to these things, have a little bowl of gazpacho. You know, maybe a little melon ball appetizer. So maybe she’ll go for a little melon ball appetizer before getting into the main course. That’s what I would do if I was her, but we’ll see what she does.”
“It’s in her court” – Becky Lynch on whether the 2.0 version of their match would take place at Wrestlemania 38
Becky Lynch was then asked if she would clash against the former UFC star at the show of shows once more. The current champion boasted about having defeated her previously. Though she stated that it is a popular match and that she is prepared to face Ronda Rousey if the opportunity arises. These were the words of our champion:
“I mean, I’ve already beaten her. Sure. Of course, that’s the match people want. That’s the match people have wanted for well, nearly four years now. I think that would get them excited and that will get me excited. But now it’s in her court. It’s up to her if she wants it. If she wants it, I’m ready to go. If she doesn’t, well, she can warm up with the gazpacho and I’ll give somebody else a shot.”
Will Ronda Rousey choose Becky Lynch and try to even score at the grandest stages of them all? Or will she step in the ring with the queen Charlotte Flair? We might get the answers on tonight’s Monday Night Raw.
