Becky Lynch arrived on the WWE main roster alongside Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks in 2015. Within a few years, the trio became solidified main event stars, winning multiple titles. However, the off-screen relationship between Lynch and Flair deteriorated as well. The real-life tensions cast a dark cloud over both stars for years before they reconciled in 2023. Recently, Lynch spoke in detail about her friendship with Flair, explaining why she buried the hatchet.
During an appearance on the Getting Over podcast, Lynch said that despite their beef, the duo has always loved each other. The Man further claimed that she’d always be available for Flair whenever she needed it, emphasizing that the latter reciprocates the same. Lynch believed that life was too short to be holding such grudges. As such, she thought that the weight of hostility toward people was not worth the trouble.
We’ve seen the tragic passing of people far too young—like Bray Wyatt, like Luke Harper. I also lost another very close friend. When you experience those losses, as you grow and mature, you realize that petty differences aren’t worth the toxicity they leave inside you or the weight they carry.

The real-life issues between Lynch and Flair became apparent to fans during a segment on SmackDown in 2021. On the October 22 edition, the pair had an awkward moment while exchanging their women’s titles. Following the segment, reports suggested that Lynch and Flair got into a heated exchange backstage.
WWE utilized their off-screen resentment during the buildup to Survivor Series 2023. Similar to real life, the duo managed to put their differences aside as they teamed up to defeat Damage CTRL inside WarGames.
Almost a decade after their debuts, the grand slam champs continue to assert their dominance over the women’s division. Charlotte Flair recently returned from a year-long hiatus, winning the Royal Rumble match. Meanwhile, Becky Lynch has been on hiatus since May, with reports signaling she’s ready to return to the squared circle soon.
Will Charlotte Flair dash Tiffany Stratton’s spirits at WrestleMania?
Charlotte Flair’s Royal Rumble win provided her with the opportunity to choose her WrestleMania opponent. Two weeks after the PLE, Flair made her decision, opting to face Tiffany Stratton for the Women’s Championship in Las Vegas.

Flair gave her assessment of Stratton, claiming that the latter was in desperate need of a match against her. Since the Royal Rumble, The Queen has gained the upper hand in all of their confrontations. This might have to also to do with The Buff Barbie being distracted by her upcoming marquee clash.
Stratton will team up with Trish Stratus to take on friend-turned-rival Nia Jax and Candice LeRae at the Elimination Chamber. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see how Stratton tackles the biggest challenge of her young career at WrestleMania.
