LSU defended their crowd and secured their sixth SEC Championship in the program’s history on Saturday. The team, Livvy Dunne included, celebrated a lifetime against Oklahoma, Florida, and Missouri. The social media sensation gave a sneak peek of their celebratory run on her Instagram.
Livvy Dunne shared the behind-the-scenes of the LSU Tigers’ epic milestone victory through a carousel of pictures on her social media. The glimpses were full of purple and white champions jerseys over leotards and confetti all around. One of them also featured the much-worked-for trophy held by Dunne and her teammate Kiya Johnson as the two kissed the glass achievement.
A couple of pictures featured the SI model playing with confetti lying on the floor. The entire team was in pure glee as the floor turned to their dancing ground. The festivities continued on their bus and their rooms as well.

A similar sort of celebration had prevailed on Livvy Dunne’s stories right after the win. A part of it had also nodded to her MLB boyfriend Paul Skenes who had to miss out on the momentary occasion due to his spring training. Notably, the 22-year-old was absent from the lineup as she had been for several events due to a knee injury. Before the events, Dunne posted the unfortunate news on her Instagram stories. Nonetheless, she was an active participant of the iconic victory.
With LSU’s scores, the Tigers have secured a spot in the NCAA Regionals set to begin on April 2nd. Following that will be the championships if the team manages to make it. That said, Livvy Dunne only has two chances to perform at the collegiate level. While the TikTok sensation has graduated with a degree in interdisciplinary studies, she decided to stay back with the gymnastics team for the fifth and final year.
Livvy Dunne opens up about SEC win and shares injury update
The LSU Tigers are headed to their potential second NCAA championship win with Livvy Dunne ruled out. Nonetheless, the fifth-year athlete has been an active participant in cheers over the past couple of meets. Speaking to LSU Tigers TV after the SEC Championship win, Dunne reflects on her journey here and where her injury has taken her.
Livvy Dunne remains hopeful of her return on the mat for the NCAA finals. Regardless of her presence, she remained confident in her team who, despite not being as experienced as seniors has built a good defense. Highlighting the team’s turn at the final two minutes, she quipped it was always in the books for them, especially considering fellow competitive teams.
She also expressed regret over her fractured kneecap that has sidelined her throughout. Last year, she made a significant contribution to the bars leading her team to a win. This year, however, her future remains uncertain despite her optimism. However, it just might be that the gymnast springs back in time to get another championship with her team. Even if not, she remains an active presence for her team.
