Jon Anik‘s recent tweet has everybody confused. The UFC commentator recently put out a cryptic tweet about the upcoming UFC Manchester event. What was interesting was that he tagged UFC welterweight Belal Muhammad. But why? Will Muhammad headline UFC Manchester?

The UFC is finally returning to the UK once again this July. Jon Anik sent out a tweet confirming that he will be at the event. However, he also tagged Belal Muhammad.

It has been over a year since Belal Muhammad has fought in the UFC. He was also reportedly training with Khabib Nurmagomedov, Islam Makhachev, and others in Dagestan. Muhammad had pushed for a title fight with Leon Edwards for the longest time. He was also the backup fighter for UFC 296 when Edwards defended his title against Colby Covington.

Muhammad has ticked every box necessary to be deserving of a title fight. He has consistently won every fight since 2019 with only one bout with Edwards that was declared a no-contest. Edwards was reportedly offered to fight at UFC 300. However, he did not end up on the card.

Nonetheless, UFC CEO, Dana White had recently teased a massive UFC announcement with Leon Edwards for UK fans coming in days. Hence, there is a very high chance that Belal Muhammad will be fighting Leon Edwards this July at the Co-op Live arena in Machester, United Kingdom.
