Ben Chilwell has withdrawn from the England squad

Chelsea left back Ben Chilwell has withdrawn from the England squad. Chilwell was supposed to play against Denmark after missing out against Belgium. However according to reports he will withdraw from the National team.

Frank Lampard will be concerned for his fitness as he’s a first team player. Moreover Chilwell was on fantastic form before the international break.

Chelsea release statement regarding Ben Chilwell

Chelsea FC have released an official statement on Ben Chilwell. They confirm that Chilwell is no longer a part of the national squad.

Chilwell has not featured for the Three Lions during this round of internationals after missing the friendly against Wales and Sunday’s UEFA Nations League victory over Belgium.

He will now return to Chelsea and an update on his fitness will be provided by Frank Lampard in his customary pre-match press conference from Cobham on Friday afternoon.

Chilwell has made a fantastic start to life at Chelsea. He notched up a goal and assist in the 4-0 win against Crystal Palace.
