The wait is finally over as Krafton has officially revealed BGMI 1.6 Update release date. The latest update in Battlegrounds Mobile India is going to bring back various modes which were earlier a part of PUBG Mobile.
As Battlegrounds Mobile India is considered as the Indian rebrand of PUBG Mobile, the developers release the update once it is available in PUBG Mobile. The previous update of Battlegrounds Mobile India which brought the Mission Ignition Mode and also made several changes to the in-game settings was appreciated highly by the players. As a consequence, BGMI players were eagerly waiting for the update to be released.
BGMI 1.6 Update release date for Android and iOS devices
Krafton, in the official website of Battlegrounds Mobile India has released the schedule for the 1.6 update. This time, the update schedule is different for Android and iOS devices.
Android: September 16 (Thu) 14:30 ~ September 17 (Fri) 15:30
As client distribution proceeds sequentially in AOS, there may be differences in the timing of exposure of the updated version in Playstore depending on the device you use.
iOS (Apple App Store) : September 17 (Fri) 11:00
The expected size of the update for Android devices could be around 700 MB. Players can download the update from Google Play Store. It is recommended that players should use a wifi connection while downloading the update. For IoS users, the update size can vary between 1 GB-2 GB and will be available tomorrow on App Store

BGMI 1.6 Update New Features
Flora Menace Mode
The primary content of September’s update is the Flora Menace Mode which will be available in Erangel, Sanhok and Livik. The zillion matrix feature in the flora menace mode will enable the players to fight with robots and collect nacore chips after defeating them. The nacore chips can further be used to buy supplies from DynaHex Store.
Returning maps and modes
Vikendi will be available in Battlegrounds Mobile India which was taken down earlier in PUBG Mobile 1.4 update. Various other game modes which have been mentioned below will see a comeback:
- Titans: Last Stand
- Survive Till Dawn
- Metro Royale: Reunion
- Infection Mode
- Payload 2.0
- Runic Power
Other notable features
- Show map route feature will be available in the mini-map which will display the plane’s path throughout the match
- New guns such will be added to the Arena map
- Improved animation features in Frag Grenade and modifications of character behavior
- Unlimited ammunition in training ground as well as new guns added
- Improved UAZ durability and Faster scope adjustment
Players who update to the latest version of Battlegrounds Mobile India will be given 2 classic crate coupons. We advise the players to download the update as soon as possible as they won’t be able to play with those friends who have downloaded the update.
