BGMI Star Mortal secures the 2nd position in Streamer of the Year category of Esports Awards 2021

Esports Awards 2021 concluded few days ago and we got to see the winners at 30 different categories. BGMI Star Mortal who was nominated for the Streamer of the Year award finished at the second position in the list of award contenders.
The finals of Esports Awards 2021 took place on 20th November at Arlington, Texas. The 2021 award ceremony was the sixth iteration of the prestigious Esports Awards. Numerous eSports personalities were seen gracing the event with their presence. After revealing the winners, the officials announced the names of other notable personalities who finished at the second and third position.
BGMI Star Mortal bags the second position in Streamer of the Year award

Naman Mathur who is better known by his in game alias Mortal is a household name in India. His excellent performance in PUBG Mobile and regular interaction with his fans via live stream helped him to gain international recognition for two consecutive years. After the winners were announced on 20th November, Mortal expressed his gratitude towards his fans who provided him constant support through the thick and thins of his journey.

This year too, BGMI Star Mortal has finished the award category at the second position behind the Spanish youtuber, Ibai. At the previous year too, Ibai was crowned as the winner. With over, 7 million subscribers in his Twitch and youtube channel, Ibai Llanos is a well-known internet personality who was also named as one of the most influential people of Spain in the world in Forbes 2021.
The Grefg (David Canovas Martinez) is another Spanish youtuber who was nominated for this award category for the first time. David along with Ibai have also been nominated for ‘Content Creator of the Year’ at Game Awards 2021. The event is scheduled to take place on December 9th.

A total of 12 streamers were nominated for this award. Mortal defeated other equally popular streamers such as Dr.Disrespect and Valkyrae. Here is the list of full nominees:

Mortal continued his regular live streams even after the ban of PUBG Mobile. He entertained his fans by playing new games such Among Us, Fall Guys. After the arrival of Battlegrounds Mobile India and PUBG: New State, his popualrity and viewership skyrocketed. With over 6 million subscribers in his youtube channel, fans are hoping that BGMI Star Mortal is able to bag the award next year.
