WWE has always been more about entertainment than pure sport, and that was especially true during the Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression Era, when women’s wrestling was often reduced to eye-candy segments with little focus on meaningful storylines or rivalries. That all began to change in 2015 with the Women’s Revolution, led by trailblazers like Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Paige, and AJ Lee.
Over the last decade, Lynch has arguably risen above them all, cementing her place as one of WWE’s biggest stars. Her turning point came at SummerSlam 2018, when she debuted her iconic ‘The Man’ persona, transforming into an anti-hero embraced by fans worldwide.
Since then, the Irishwoman has become a Grand Slam Champion, winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship (5x), Raw Women’s Championship (2x), NXT Women’s Championship (1x), and the Women’s Tag Team Titles (1x). These accomplishments put her among the all-time greats, but do they place her at the very top?
Recently, two of her colleagues, Bianca Belair and Stephanie Vaquer, shared their thoughts in an interview with Sports Illustrated, giving Lynch her due credit and weighing in on her legacy.
If she says it, she can back it up, and she actually has the accolades to back it up. With that being said, I will say that we have so much talent on our roster, and we just had the Evolution all-women’s PLE, and there’s so many amazing female wrestlers. Becky has a lot of accolades to back that up, but I feel like there’s other women on the roster as well that have accolades that can go toe to toe with her, and that’s what’s amazing about our roster.

However, Vaquer offered a more measured perspective, pointing out that certain factors still need to be considered before declaring Lynch the greatest of all time.
I think it’s difficult because it depends – everyone thinks different. We have an amazing, amazing division, it depends. She’s really, really good. She’s amazing. But yeah, depends.

For those unfamiliar, Lynch was also one of the first three women to headline WrestleMania, defeating Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in the historic main event of WrestleMania 35. She also shares history with Belair, who defeated her in a classic showdown at WrestleMania 38 to capture the Raw Women’s Championship.
As for Vaquer, she and Lynch have yet to meet inside a WWE ring, but when they do, fans can expect an instant classic. For now, Lynch finds herself in a heated rivalry with the returning AJ Lee and CM Punk, teaming up with her husband, Seth Rollins, for a blockbuster mixed-tag team match at Wrestlepalooza. Moreover, it will also be WWE’s debut premium live event on ESPN.
Bianca Belair talks about WrestleMania 43 heading to Saudi Arabia in 2027
Speaking of big deals and financial milestones, WWE is set to make history by taking WrestleMania outside of North America for the first time. As announced by Triple H just days ago, WrestleMania 43 will officially be held in Saudi Arabia in 2027.
At the official announcement, both Bianca Belair and Stephanie Vaquer were in attendance. ‘The EST’ spoke at the press conference, calling WWE’s latest move in The Kingdom a positive step that would give the product greater global exposure. She also reflected on what it means to perform at these events, describing the experience as truly monumental.

It’s amazing to be a part of a lot of great moments, the hospitality, the culture, the crowd are always great. I think Saudi Arabia has become a space specifically for women to make amazing moments and make history that’s not just important for little girls and women to see, but for little boys and men in the whole world to see.

For the unversed, WWE’s partnership with Saudi Arabia since 2018 has come with strict dress code requirements for women performers. Unlike their usual in-ring gear, female wrestlers competing in The Kingdom must wear full-body suits with no skin exposed, in line with the country’s religious and social norms.

Belair’s comments on the matter drew criticism from AEW star Thunder Rosa, who argued that WWE bringing its biggest show to the Middle East would not change these restrictions. Still, the financial stakes are massive.
The reported deal for the 43rd edition of WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia is worth over $250 million. On top of that, the country is already set to host the 2026 Royal Rumble in Riyadh, which many see as a step toward strengthening WWE’s global reach.
