It seems like Big E won’t be stepping back into the squared circle ever again. Unequivocally, it’s something one may not like but needs to embrace. Taking to his X account, the former WWE Champion unveiled the results of his two-year scans, which are sullen for those who wanted to see E back in the ring. He revealed that even though his C1 vertebrae has healed fibrously, it hasn’t formed a new bone.
The New Day member outright stated that he’s not medically cleared. Truthfully he may never be, added the 38-year-old. However, in what has come off as a windfall, the WWE Superstar said he’s free of pain, immensely happy and otherwise healthy. Despite realizing that his tenure as an in-ring performer might be beyond him, the fact that he’s alright while carrying out daily chores is gratifying. His fans couldn’t have been any happier for the 285-pounder.
Recently, Big E was seen partaking in the WrestleMania weekend festivities in Philadelphia. And it appears like he’s going to continue making sporadic appearances for the company in some capacity. Call it his destiny or whatever, but it’s quite poetic to retrospect and realize that the Tampa native did get to the top of his game before that catastrophe hit him.
Hey, all! Two year neck scans are in. Things are unchanged. My C1 has healed fibrously but has not formed new bone. I’m not medically cleared and truthfully, I may never be cleared. But I am blessed to be free of pain, immensely happy and otherwise healthy. Life is good.Big E on X
The 2021 Money in the Bank winner went on to successfully cash it in on the then-WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. However, E lost the title to Brock Lesnar in a Fatal-5-Way match at the Day 1 PLE in 2022 that also included Lashley, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens. Then, during an episode of SmackDown in March, Ridge Holland inadvertently botched an overhead belly-to-belly suplex on the real-life Ettore Ewen. And the rest is history.
Big E recently hosted the Slammy Awards at WWE World during WrestleMania weekend
This past Sunday morning at WWE World, Big E hosted the Slammy Awards alongside Cathy Kelley. It was a great reprisal of The Fans Choice Awards during an already-loaded week in the City of Brotherly Love.
Star of the show was CM Punk who raked in multiple Slammys. Not to forget Drew McIntyre who was declared the Social Star of the Year. Chelsea Green decided to throw some tantrums of her own but The Scottish Warrior had a befitting reply.
With ‘Mania XL now in the rearview mirror, it would be interesting to see when Big E makes his on-screen presence feel again. He might become a recurring theme on the kickoff show panel taking up announcing duties at forthcoming premium live events.
