In the coming season, legendary head coach Bill Belichick may not appear on the sidelines, but rest assured he won’t be out of touch with the NFL or any other sports.

It appears he is trying his hands at something new while appearing in the Pat McAfee show after giving 24 years of his life to the New England Patriots.

On Wednesday, Pat McAfee and Belichick announced the exciting news about an upcoming live show on April 25, focused on the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit and co-hosted by the former Patriots head coach. The show would begin at 7:30 in the evening.

I'm looking forward to it. Draft day, draft weekend is always an exciting time for everybody. For the teams that are building their teams, for the fans, for everybody involved in it. It's a great event and yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing it from the other side. It'll be fun to be in Detroit, be with you guys, and get your expertise.
Said Belichick in his recent appearance on the Pat McAfee show.

Belichick landing a TV job is not as shocking as it was in the Pat McAfee show, given it was widely expected the former NFL head coach would go forward with that after not landing any coaching job across the league.

It remains a question to ask whether the 72-year-old would continue working with ESPN and McAfee after the drafts are over. But there have been speculations about a potential job for Belichick, working with Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions this season.

Bill Belichick’s take on first-round QBs and WRs

The eight-time Super Bowl champion head coach didn’t wait until April 25 to give his analysis for the upcoming NFL drafts. Belichick gave his expert opinion on the quarterback-receiver ratio in the first round of the drafts during his first appearance on the Pat McAfee show.

Historically, the wide receivers and quarterbacks in the first round are really a 50-50 proposition in the long run. That's what the stats will tell you... you could have five franchise quarterbacks, or you could end up with none

As Belichick would observe, the NFL teams bet their odds on young players, and one of those would also be his former team, the Patriots, having the No. 3 pick, which is the highest selection mark gained by the franchise since 1993.
