“Milwaukee needs to get out of this Dame-Giannis thing!” – Sports commentator dishes out trade advice to the struggling Milwaukee Bucks
Milwaukee Bucks' disastrous start to the season has fueled trade rumors involving star player Giannis Antetokounmpo amid limited options.
The Milwaukee Bucks are in their worst run of form since Giannis Antetokounmpo’s rookie season
The Milwaukee Bucks’ season has gotten off to a dismal start, with a 2-8 record after ten games. It’s their worst start to a campaign since Giannis Antetokounmpo’s rookie season. These poor performances have sparked concerns from fans and have now invited trade talks.
Media personalities, including Bill Simmons, have weighed in on the Bucks’ struggles, where he suggested a potential trade. However, the Bucks’ limited draft capital (one first-round pick in 2031 and one second-round pick) and being over the second apron have restricted their ability to make significant roster improvements.
Furthermore, the Bucks’ financial constraints have also made it challenging to acquire talent via trade. They cannot afford to take on additional salary or aggregate contracts, which has limited their options.
Given these constraints, the prospect of them turning their season around looks slim. The pressure keeps mounting on coach Doc Rivers and Antetokounmpo’s magical performances may just not be enough to save them.
Brooklyn Nets linked to Bucks star amid trade rumors
With things going south for the Bucks, the Hawks have come hovering above as the Brooklyn Nets have been linked to Giannis Antetokounmpo. Trade rumors have swirled, with the Nets reportedly being touted as a preferred destination for the superstar forward by Bill Simmons.

Earlier, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst tempered speculation when he stated that a Antetokounmpo trade is “not a reality as of now.” Instead, the Bucks are likely to make moves to strengthen their supporting cast around him.
However, if the Nets pursue the Greek Freak, they’ll need to offer a substantial package, likely centered around draft picks. They’ll face competition from the Miami Heat and Houston Rockets, who are also rumored to be interested in the two-time NBA MVP.
