Media personalities, including Bill Simmons, have weighed in on the Bucks’ struggles, where he suggested a potential trade. However, the Bucks’ limited draft capital (one first-round pick in 2031 and one second-round pick) and being over the second apron have restricted their ability to make significant roster improvements.

With things going south for the Bucks, the Hawks have come hovering above as the Brooklyn Nets have been linked to Giannis Antetokounmpo. Trade rumors have swirled, with the Nets reportedly being touted as a preferred destination for the superstar forward by Bill Simmons.
I think they (the Nets) could just go all in for Giannis (Antetokounmpo). They just have a s*** load of picks. They have Cam Thomas, who I was really impressed by, who’s a very good scorer. Cam Johnson, Nic Claxton… Schroder’s playing really well. I like them, I actually think they’re a Play-In team at least.

Earlier, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst tempered speculation when he stated that a Antetokounmpo trade is “not a reality as of now.” Instead, the Bucks are likely to make moves to strengthen their supporting cast around him.
However, if the Nets pursue the Greek Freak, they’ll need to offer a substantial package, likely centered around draft picks. They’ll face competition from the Miami Heat and Houston Rockets, who are also rumored to be interested in the two-time NBA MVP.
