Arnold Schwarzenegger is undoubtedly one of the biggest action movie stars of all time. The former Mr Olympia has been part of some of the biggest and highest grossing action movies which are considered classics. Terminator, The Expendables, Commando and Predator are some of the most iconic ones. Being a former bodybuilder, his huge body helped Schwarzenegger to become a tough action star on the screen.
Making action movies is comparatively more challenging than movies from other genres. These movies contain high end sequences including fights, vehicle chases, shootouts etc. Most of the stunts during the shooting were done by body doubles and experienced stunt professionals.
However, there are certain shots that the actors have no other choice to do on their own. This can lead to some of the most unprecedented accidents that can affect other cast members, shooting schedule etc. Schwarzenegger had a similar situation with his co-star Tia Carrere when they were shooting for one of the movies in the 90s.

In 1994, Schwarzenegger did a spy action comedy, True Lies, which was directed by James Cameron. In the movie, Carrere played a negative character with whom Schwarzenegger had to dance.
Cameron suggested that there should be Tango which is something not that easy to master in such a short span of time. But the director was rigid with his vision and asked Schwarzenegger to learn the dance. The Austrian did his best and finally learned the dance for the shoot but it didn’t go that smoothly.
During the shoot, Schwarzenegger accidentally stepped on the toes of Carrere. During a recent interview, the actress said, ” He did step on my toes. It would have been dangerous if I had broken my toes, I suppose, because that would have put us back 30 days in the production,” she added. “I think Arnold did an amazing job in the tango,” continued Carrere. “He has great posture, and that’s all you really need.”
Thankfully, the tango scene shoot went without any troubles and the director was satisfied. Carrere suffered few small bruises but it didn’t affected her much.
