Anthony Joshua made his professional boxing debut on the 5th of October, 2013 against Emanuele Leo. He won the fight in the very first round, via TKO. In a years’ time he was 9-0 up in his boxing career, winning his first-ever title against Denis Bakhtov – WBC International Heavyweight Title.

Against Gary Cornish on the 12th of September, 2015, Joshua won the vacant Commonwealth Heavyweight Title. Several title fights followed. Joshua won the British Heavyweight Title after beating Dillian Whyte in December 2015 via. TKO. Following a win over Charles Martin, Joshua won the IBF heavyweight title.

On the 29th of April, 2017, Joshua took on Klitschko in a cracker of a contest. He knocked out the Ukrainian legend in the 11th round to win the vacant WBA (Super) and IBO heavyweight titles. Following a string of title defenses, Joshua suffered his first and only defeat at the hands of Andy Ruiz Jr. in June 2019. He lost via. TKO in the 7th round.

He exacted revenge over Ruiz that same year in December to reclaim his lost titles. He once again defended his title in 2020, against Kubrat Pulev. A fight against undefeated Oleksandr Usyk awaits at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the 25th of September, 2021.
