“The marathon continues” – Anthony Joshua poses alongside Nipsey Hussle’s memorial wall; his first post since Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3

Anthony Joshua is slowly getting back in the groove. The Englishman suffered a devastating unanimous decision loss against Oleksandr Usyk in September. He lost his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles in front of his home crowd at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

A fortnight after his defeat, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder faced off in yet another high-voltage heavyweight clash. It was a trilogy fight. In one of the greatest modern-day boxing fights of all time, Fury knocked Wilder out in the eleventh round after a terrific back-and-forth between the two in the first eight rounds.

Joshua hadn’t posted anything or been active on social media since the conclusion of Wilder vs Fury 3. A week after the fight he took to Twitter and Instagram to share a photo of himself sitting alongside the memorial wall of late rapper Nipsey Hussle at West Slauson Avenue in Los Angeles.

Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk rematch soon?

“The marathon continues,” Joshua Tweeted sitting alongside the late Nipsey Hussle’s memorial wall in Los Angels, California. It is worth noting that the mural was painted by notable artist Danny Mateo, just close to the store near which Hussle was shot dead on the 31st of March, 2019.

Joshua, meanwhile, is believed to have triggered his rematch clause against Oleksandr Usyk. He will do everything it takes to reclaim his titles from the Ukrainian. If he succeeds in doing so, he will get to face ‘The Gypsy King’, who he would have already faced by now, had the Wilder trilogy not taken place.
