“What am I watching”, “An absolute disgrace” – Twitter reacts to Vitor Belfort’s first-round TKO of Evander Holyfield

Evander Holyfield suffered a terrible loss against Vitor Belfort in the main event of a ‘glamourous’ boxing card held at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino & Hotel in Hollywood, Florida. Belfort needed just 1 minute and 49 seconds to send Holyfield careening to the canvas. And despite Holyfield beating the count, the referee waved off the fight saving the Boxing great from further punishment.

The pros were quick to react to the same. There was a unanimous sympathy shared towards Evander Holyfield, since many felt that he shouldn’t have been boxing in the first place (At the ripe old age of 58). Kamaru Usman, Chris Weidman and Claressa Shields were some of the big names who reacted to the same.

Chris Weidman, shared a general consensus – “Happy for vitor but man IT sucks to see HOLYFIELD like that.“

“This was an absolute DISGRACE,” – said Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports.

ONE Championship Heavyweight Champion, Arjan Singh Bhullar made his opinion known – “Sad to see Holyfield moving like that in a ring….but happy he didn’t get hurt. He looks great physically and is going home with a bag. Happy for that.

Following his win, Vitor Belfort called Jake Paul out. The YouTuber is yet to respond to the same.
