Australian lightweight boxer proves to be a massive upset as George Kambosos Jr defeats Teofimo Lopez to snatch all the titles.
Teofimo Lopez vs George Kambosos Jr headlined the historic Madison Square Garden on Saturday night. The underdog boxer from Sydney took on the holder of the IBF, WBA, and WBO lightweight titles hoping to create history. George managed to create an enormous upset as he defeated the No.1 lightweight in the world to replace him at the top of the mountain.
Kambosos Jr defeated Lopez via split decision to create a massive upset. Two of the judges scored the fight, 115-112 and 115-112 for Kambosos while the third judge scored the fight 114-113 for Lopez. This fight has turned out to be a serious contender for Fight of The Year and combat sports aces could not believe their eyes after his monster of an upset.

Boxing sensation Jake Paul who has transitioned into the sport of boxing from YouTube has caught the world of combat sports off-guard with his antics and controversies. Paul was amazed by the Aussie’s win and wrote, “DONT F*CK WITH AUSTRALIA,” and congratulated George Kambosos.
UFC’s featherweight champion who also roots from the same country as the current no.1 lightweight boxer had nothing more but agree 100 percent with Paul resonating his words.
Eddie Hearn did not believe his eyes after watching the massive underdog scrap his way to the top against Lopez at the Madison Square Garden. “WOW!!! What a f**king hero…The King of Australia take a f**king bow,” wrote Eddie Hearn on Twitter.
Boxing star Ryan Garcia put out an interesting tweet saying he would fight the Australian in his return fight. The fighter also wrote, “Massive respect to Kambosos for that performance honestly you deserve it and all love go celebrate.”
“Congrats George Kambosos well deserved victory you worked hard for it! Let’s make it happen for all the belts!” wrote undefeated boxer, Devin Haney.
