“I’m in his head, I’m affecting his pockets,” Jake Paul continues his attacks on Dana White regarding fighter pay
Jake Paul and Dana White
The Youtuber turned professional boxer Jake Paul has recently erupted a volcano in UFC regarding its fighter’s payouts. He is using every social media platform to attack the UFC president Dana White for paying the fighters pennies in the biggest MMA promotion of the world.
Whether it is Sarah Alpar who started the GoFundme campaign to raise money for training or it is Cheyanne Buys who admitted that she has zero balance in her account after the second UFC fight, we can see many fighters coming forward to talk about not getting enough money in UFC.
To facilitate all this Jake Paul has become the loudest voice for advocating better pay for fighters, and not only this he is paying UFC fighters much more money to face him, as he is doing with the former UFC Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley on 29th August.
In his latest interview with MMA Fighting, Paul says, “It’s something that I’m bullish on and something that needs to change, For my fight, while we were building out the undercard, I was like we need to make sure that this fight, these fighters, every single person on the card gets paid the most that they’ve ever gotten paid to fight.”
“I just want to spread the wealth and be about my words and put action behind my words and be the change instead of just talking about the change.” {H/T MMA Fighting}
Jake Paul knows Dana White gets irritated whenever his name comes
Jake Paul has never left any opportunity to talk about Dana White and he believes he is doing this only so that fighters can earn a good amount of money. He added,
“Look, the UFC fighters can’t talk about it, They can’t advocate for fighter pay because Dana White will just shelf them, and a lot of the times it’s the same situation with boxing promoters who sign some of these young stars and lock them up in super-long contracts.”
“But I see how hard fighting is, I see how hard fighters work. The fact that it’s so skewed versus any other sport and it’s the most dangerous sport out of all of them, there needs to be a change there. I’m actually starting to affect Dana White’s business.”
Dana White also taken shots at Paul whenever he gets a chance and he even claimed his popularity stunt is going to be real short, and Jake Paul believes him being vocal about the fighter’s payouts makes him more irritated.
He added, “He talks about me way more than I talk about him, A lot of times I’ll just be minding my business and then all of a sudden there’s like a whole new interview that comes out where he’s talking about me. I’m definitely in his head because before when we were talking, it was just random back and forth but now I’m actually affecting his business and they don’t like that.” {H/T MMA Fighting}
