Jake Paul slams Bob Arum

Jake Paul is not having anybody disrespecting women’s boxing. Even if it is Bob Arum. The YouTube boxer defends the significance of women’s boxing against the comments of a veteran boxing promoter.

Recently boxing promoter Bob Arum downplayed the significance and disrespected the super fight matchup of Amanda Serrano vs Katie Taylor in an interview. “People don’t particularly pay attention to women’s boxing. It’s like comparing Premier League to women’s football,” said Arum about the Serrano-Taylor fight.

Jake Paul, who signed Amanda Serrano and is one of the main reasons why this super fight is happening was quick to defend his fighter’s honor against a veteran of boxing. The YouTuber turned boxer slammed the promoter and guaranteed that the TaylorSerrano fight will make history.

“Men like this dinosaur r the reason women haven’t been given a fair shake in many parts of society. I feel sorry 4 @mikaelamayer1 – she deserves better. & he says @espn doesn’t care about the biggest women’s boxing event in history? #TaylorSerrano will make history with or w/o u,” wrote Jake in response to Bob’s comments.

Jake is the founder of Most Valuable Promotions, to which Amanda Serrano is signed. The Serrano vs Taylor fight is scheduled for April 30th at the Madison Square Garden in New York. Bob Arum also is promoting a title unification bout on the same day between Shakur Stevenson and Oscar Valdez.

The fans all over Twitter have sided with the Taylor-Serrano fight and believe the women’s fight will do more numbers than the men’s title bout. Jake, despite being very new to the world of boxing has made brilliant progress as a boxer and also as a promoter. Which fight do you think holds more significance? The Taylor-Serrano fight or the Stevenson-Valdez fight?
