Mike Tyson is among the greatest fighters in combat sports history. At a young age, Tyson rose through the ranks and became the youngest heavyweight champion in history. Footwork and knockout power enabled Tyson to destroy all his opponents in his prime. However, most people do not remember how Mike Tyson got his iconic face tattoo.

In an interview before his fight, Tyson talked about his tattoo. He said, “Listen it doesn’t signify basically anything. I just felt like I wanted to tattoo my face, and I didn’t like the way it looked and wanted to change it.” Tyson had a simple answer to the question about his new tattoo. It did not signify anything, and Tyson thought a tattoo could add something new to his face.

Legendary boxing coach Cus D’Amato trained Tyson from his early teenage days. Cus instilled a psychological approach to boxing in a young Mike Tyson. Tyson mastered the psychological process that enabled him to become the most feared boxer in the 1980s and 90s. Tyson and Cus were known to be simple men who wanted to work hard to attain success. Even his explanation about the tattoo remains simplistic.

Despite the simplistic approach to life, Tyson led a materialistic lifestyle. He had multiple mansions, cars, and a tiger at his disposal. The heavy spending ultimately caught up to Tyson as he filed for bankruptcy in the 2000s. Currently, Tyson hosts a podcast and attends high-profile boxing bouts from time to time. Unlike his younger self in the 90s, he has stayed away from trouble.

Legendary boxer Mike Tyson has an affinity toward partying. In an interview before a fight, Tyson explained his history of bronchitis and getting sick on a semi-regular basis. He also talked about giving a lap dance to a stripper in Las Vegas.

The reporter asked about Tyson partying in Vegas. Tyson refuted those claims and said, “This is not true, this is not true at all. I went out one day and went to a strip club and gave a dance, a lap dance. Its what I do, and I like to do what I want to do.

This was a big revelation coming from Tyson. Even the reporter got confused by the statement. Tyson lived a lavish lifestyle during the late 1980s and 1990s, including being involved in numerous controversies like punching his ex-wife and the prison sentence.
