Floyd Mayweather is one of the most popular athletes in the world and has built his legacy from scratch. The retired boxer is extremely rich and has earned most of it through fight purses and his business ventures. 

Mayweather is a family man and has four kids and being a celebrity it might be hard to be a good parent to your kids but that’s not the case with Mayweather. While talking about his kids and their pocket money, Mayweather revealed that he doesn’t give money directly to his kids to spend. 

He said:  “All four of my children are adults, and I told them, listen, no more handouts, no more handouts, I told them listen from here on out, you guys go to school or you work in one of my businesses, then you can branch-off. “

According to the undefeated boxer, he is willing to help his kids by investing in their own business and wants them to continue to add to the over wealth of the family. Mayweather continued: “Get your own business and I’ll put the money up to help you start a business but I need you guys to take what I’ve already started and triple and double that and then I need my grandchildren to come behind you guys and do the same thing.” Floyd is known for being a smart businessman and knows the value of giving his kids the opportunity to make money for themselves.

Mayweather enjoys a lavish lifestyle with mansions, cars, and properties and frequently boasts about it on his social media accounts. The fighter has an estimated net worth of a whopping $1.2 billion and is not ready to settle down just yet. 

Speaking about his affection for earning money, Mayweather said: “The fact I speak about money doesn’t make me a bad person. I like to have the good things in life; money doesn’t make me, I make money.

I like to feed my family, we can’t feed our family by just saying, ‘I love you.’ Money has put us in a position to have the finer things in life, so we are able to travel and have fun, live life and experience different things. When you’re able to make a lot of money, you’re able to do those things.”

Even after his retirement, Mayweather has continued his boxing to earn millions of dollars. He has kept himself in shape and frequently participates in exhibition bouts with other famous individuals to sell tickets and earn the fight purse.
