Manny Pacquiao is a pro-boxing veteran, winning 12 world titles in 8 different weight divisions. He was the only boxer to ever do so in the 4-belt era history. In a recent appearance, along with RIZIN CEO Nobuyuki Sakakibara, Pacquiao promised a rehash with 50-0 legend Floyd Mayweather, for 2024. Concurrently though, ‘The Pac Man’ has now taken it a step further to call out a multitude of challenges. Including Conor McGregor, Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, and Ryan Garcia.
The 45-year-old former 8-division world champion called time on his HOF career in Sep. 2021, following a loss on points to Yordenis Ugas. However, he shocked the world with his announcement against Mayweather. The boxing veteran also officially faces Muay Thai fighter and kickboxer Buakaw Banchamek on April 20th. But fans haven’t taken well to a plethora of other callouts.

He and Gervonta Davis have been engaging in a to-and-fro for a while to duke it out at a catchweight bout. Davis, and trainer Kenny Ellis had taken to to social media to react to this. Attending the ‘Day of Reckoning’ event, Pacquiao also received a callout from McGregor, in an interview with iFL TV‘s Derek Chisora. But he seemed initially dismissive of it.
But now comes the sudden extended callouts to different rivals. A prime reaction on X noted – “Them Philippine taxes and gambling been busting buddy a** for a long time“. The fight bubble has prompted smelling hints of desperation from the boxing veteran. The matter has thus attracted much attention.
Fight fans react to Manny Pacquiao’s random callouts to multiple rivals
Michael Benson, online boxing editor for talkSPORT.com took to X (@MichaelBensonn) to report on an array of random callouts from Manny Pacquiao. In an apparent sitdown with boxingscene.com, Pacquiao has extended callouts to boxing and MMA peers alike.

“The Pac-Man” had hinted that he was still active throughout the last year. In an interview with Fight Hub, the boxer talked about an exhibition fight against Floyd Mayweather; before actually conforming to it. Garcia’s promoter Oscar De La Hoya (of Golden Boy Promotions) has instigated this to be a money-grab affair. However, this current discourse might just excite him.
Conversely, it does not excite the fans. Here’s how some have reacted to the matter –
On May 2, 2015, at the MGM Grand, Mayweather defended his WBA and WBC titles for the WBO gold from Pacquiao, in the “The Fight of the Century.” The rematch might just hold as much promise.
But fans are not fond of two boxers in their 40s stretching out the affair any further. A bout with Conor McGregor seems more promising. The Dubliner – a business entrepreneur and MMA promoter is considerably one of the top 10 richest UFC fighters in promotion history. And fans have alluded to that in no shortage of words.
