This weekend, the boxing world will witness another potentially historic heavyweight championship fight between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte in a WBC title unification match as Fury, the undisputed WBC champion was ceased midway to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world and therefore now needs to defend his title against Whyte, who’s the interim- WBC champion. Fury earlier expressed his desire to fight the reigning IBF, IBO, WBA, and WBO heavyweight champion of the world Oleksandr Usyk.
But Usyk has some unfinished business as he is looking forward to beating preceding champion Anthony Joshua again in a rematch, all thanks to the rematch clause applied by Joshua. Fury is coming off a massive win against knockout artist Deontay Wilder, closing a legendary trilogy in his favour by 2-0 and a draw. Whyte on the other hand is coming off a win against Alexander Povetkin in a rematch where he avenges his loss to the same.
