Mike Tyson has had several different phases across his impressive boxing career. The most iconic phases are known as the pre-prision and post-prision phases. Recently, American comedian, Aries Spears, dived into these two different phases of Tyson. The pre-prision version is normally remembered for being the youngest heavyweight champion. Furthermore, on top of having immense talent, Tyson was also guided by expert mentors and coaches.

Similarly, post-prison Tyson is looked upon as a more mature phase of his. The majority of the controversies that plagued his life occurred during this phase. In addition, Tyson also got his iconic tribal face tattoo during this era.

Spears believes that Tyson’s pre-prison era was his prime as a boxer in terms of his performance and his guidance. Furthermore, the former believes that Tyson was better in this phase because he was more focused. As such, Spears mentioned that the world-renowned boxer would not indulge in drugs or women and was a different animal before he went to prison.

The comedian also brought up how people call Tyson an overrated champion because he lost to Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis. However, Spears believes that pre-prison Tyson could have easily defeated Holyfield, Lewis, and several other boxers.

Aries Spears’s prediction for Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul

Spears is a huge Tyson fanboy and thus, shared his prediction for the upcoming fight against Jake Paul. The comedian mentioned that Tyson no longer has the speed he had when he was 27. However, he still has amazing speed for a 57-year-old.

While Spears knows this, he is still worried about Tyson’s endurance because of his age. Furthermore, the former feels that Paul has improved a lot even though he entered the sport as a YouTube boxer.

However, despite the challenges against Paul, Aries Spears feels that Tyson can slip through Paul’s punches and hit him with a solid punch. Spears is backing Tyson’s iconic punching power.
