Back in Time! When Floyd Mayweather got furious after being unrecognized by a lady

Floyd Mayweather
Floyd Mayweather is undoubtedly one of the greatest athletes of the 21st century. The former professional boxer is a 15-time world champion in multiple divisions. Mayweather is also an Olympic bronze medalist, having won it in the 1996 edition.
However, the boxing Hall of Famer is quite infamous for his controversies and keeps appearing in the news for the wrong reasons. One such incident occurred back in 2014 when a Jamaican woman wasn’t able to recognize Floyd at a barber shop in Brixton.
Floyd Mayweather was having a haircut at the shop when the woman said, “I don’t know you, what’s the big deal? I just don’t know boxing. I know about Mike Tyson.” Following this, Mayweather got irritated and asked the lady to Google his name. But, the woman further added, “I only watch big fights”. To which Floyd’s teammates responded by saying, “he (Floyd) is the biggest in the world”.
Floyd Mayweather was quite irritated by this incident and frustration was visible on his face. Controversies are not unknown to Floyd’s career and he is involved in many such incidents throughout his career. Let’s take a look at more of such altercations that “Money” got involved in.

Throwback to when Floyd Mayweather went viral for a rant on live tv

Back in 2011, Floyd Mayweather went one on one against Victor Ortiz. Even though Mayweather came out victorious, the aftermath of the match was filled with controversies. Mayweather attacked an unguarded Ortiz to knock him out. While Mayweather was celebrating his victory over Ortiz with his cornermen, Merchant chose to question him about the unsportsmanlike blow after the fight.
“Money” attempted to defend his actions, claiming that it was a reasonable move. Larry Merchant, on the other hand, was having none of it. When he pressed Mayweather for an honest answer to his question, Mayweather lost his cool and went on a rant against Merchant, “You never give me a fair share e. So I’m gonna let you talk to Victor Ortiz, alright? I’m through. They can put somebody else up here to give me an interview. HBO needs to fire you. You don’t know shit about boxing. You ain’t shit.” said Floyd.
To which Merchant responded by saying “I wish I was fifty years younger and I would’ve kicked you a**”. The incident went on to get worse when Floyd continued to defend himself against his actions and said he did not do anything wrong.
There was another instance when Mayweather went toe-to-toe with Brian Kenny on live TV when the latter was interviewing Mayweather. Floyd stated that Brain might be a man of many things but he is a master of none. He then said that Brian is “just a guy with a job“, to which, the reporter replied saying “at least I have a job.” However, Mayweather responded back saying “guess what? Your job don’t pay like my job”.
There have been many such instances with Floyd Mayweather where he came off as a cocky, prideful person. However, he always had his game backing him.
