WATCH: Brawl breaks out at Floyd Mayweather exhibition fight as John Gotti attempts to attack $400 million worth boxer
The exhibition boxing bout between Floyd Mayweather and the grandson of a mobster ended in a chaotic brawl between the both teams.

Even after retiring with a perfect undefeated record of 50-0, Floyd Mayweather continues to box in exhibition bouts. He took on John Gotti III in his recent exhibition bout. However, unlike the other exhibition bouts of Mayweather’s career, this one ended in a chaotic brawl. Gotti was no match for the retired boxer as Mayweather’s footwork and crisp boxing troubled Gotti for most of the bout.
However, it did not stop Gotti from talking trash to the undefeated boxer. John Gotti III, the grandson of a notorious mob boss, did not like Mayweather’s approach to the fight. He started to talk trash during the bout, and so did Floyd Mayweather. The referee warned that he would call the bout if the boxers continued to talk trash. Despite the warning, the fighters continued to talk trash. It led to the referee stopping the fight.
Once the bout got called, Gotti came charging up at Floyd Mayweather. He swung left-right, making it his best moment of the entire night. Even that could not hurt Mayweather. Floyd’s skill level remains above average boxers even after his prime days. The boxer performed a masterful performance, and the trash-talking affected Gotti mentally. When Gotti was humiliated by Floyd in front of an audience, the state of confusion may have led Gotti to attack ‘Money.’
Once Gotti started swinging, both of their team and friends came into the ring for the brawl. The brawl did not stop until a while when Floyd and Gotti made their way out of the ring for safety. Team Mayweather and Team Gotti continued to go back and forth until they did not. Mayweather has a lot of money but continues to do these exhibition bouts.
Team Gotti felt the referee favored Floyd Mayweather
The referee Kenny Bayless famously officiated the second fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder. Team Gotti felt Bayless favored Mayweather as the ref kept disciplining Gotti. It did not sit well with the grandson of the mobster.
Gotti and his team pointed out that Mayweather talked trash the entire time and even showboated at one point. However, the referee did not talk to Floyd at any point or issue a warning. This started rubbing Gotti in the wrong way.
This led to continued trash talk from both parties at the end of rounds 5 and 6, which led Bayless to stop the bout. However, Gotti went charging up to Mayweather after the bout cancelation. The ref has to be blamed for how he officiated the bout. An unbiased approach could have avoided the brawl.
