Errol Spence Jr faced a career-defining loss against the new undisputed welterweight champion Terence Crawford in their super fight. The loss shocked many fans as Spence did not look like himself and was dominated by his opponent. Spence believed in his abilities before the title bout but failed devastatingly. Fans have resurfaced a video in which Spence took a jibe at Canelo Alvarez for not backing him in the fight.

This started when a reporter asked Spence about Canelo choosing Crawford before their fight. Spence replied, “He got it wrong, He not god because he picked himself against Bivol and got his ass whopped.” He took a jibe at Canelo Alvarez, who had lost to Dmitry Bivol after his move to light heavyweight in 2022. Canelo had his moments, but Bivol outclassed him for the majority of the bout to retain the titles.

After Spence’s loss, Alvarez took to Twitter to congratulate the newly crowned undisputed champion. He wrote, “I like Spence but… Crawford too good for Spence, that’s why I pick him to win”. Alvarez has a lot of experience and is also the same age as Spence but has experienced loss twice before.

The fight was highly anticipated and became one for the history books to cherish. With his superior boxing skills, Crawford demonstrated dominance by landing more punches and outclassing Spence. Although Spence landed a few good punches in the early rounds, Crawford could withstand the pressure and eventually take control of the fight.
