“I decided to fight Golovkin” – Canelo Alvarez reveals what made him fight GGG instead of Dmitry Bivol rematch fight

Canelo Alvarez x Dmitry Bivol
Canelo Alvarez was eager to fight Dmitry Bivol but had to change his focus towards Gennady Golovkin due to his team. Alvarez is all set to have his much-anticipated trilogy fight with Gennady Golovkin this weekend. The fight is going to take place inside the T-Mobile Arena, Paradise, Nevada and given the history behind them, it has gained a lot of attention.
The pair fought each other twice in 2017/18 and both the fights were controversial. Although Canelo is leading the rivalry with 1-0, some fans believe that GGG is clearly a better fighter.
One of the major reasons for the promoters to make this fight is the huge money that this fight can make. Two of the most popular fighters fighting to settle their years-long conflict, it can’t get better than this for boxing fans.
But it seems like, Alvarez was more interested in avenging his recent loss against Dmitry Bivol but had no other options but to take the GGG fight.
