“He’s a businessman”- Canelo Alvarez slams Floyd Mayweather for trying to get a rematch with Conor McGregor

Dmitry Bivol is now being discussed on a pound-for-pound basis. In a stunning upset, Bivol overcame former Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas. He successfully defended his WBA “super” light heavyweight world championship and cracked ESPN’s top 10 for the first time in his career.
Alvarez, the undisputed super middleweight champion, drops all the way to No. 4 after increasing his weight to 175 pounds for the Bivol fight. Despite the close and disputed scorecards, Bivol outperformed Alvarez because Alvarez did not deploy any of his typical offence.
Bivol won the fight by successfully hurting Alvarez with a powerful left jab and right punch. In front of the media, Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin announced their third fight. The first person to speak to the reporters was a Mexican, and he was honest. He stated, “Yes because he always talks about me, a lot of s*** about me. I’m more dangerous now than before, That’s what I want too. Yeah. No, he always talks about me. Maybe he wants the last payday of his life, right?”

Alvarez’s first professional defeat occurred on September 14, 2013, in front of 16,746 fans in a sold-out arena against the “Fighter of the Decade.” The two boxing greats went head-to-head at the MGM Grand Arena while unbeaten, but Mayweather, who had a record of 50-0, defeated young Canelo for the first time in his career.The fight was won by Mayweather in a 12-round majority decision.
A second boxing battle between Floyd and Conor is reportedly being explored, according to reports. Canelo was asked about the potential of the fight, by Fight Hype to which he responded, “It’s fine, I think he is a business man, everybody can do whatever they want.”
Outside of the ring, Canelo and Hennessy work well together in business. Canelo also owns a taco restaurant in his native Mexico. His Canelo Promotions is also planning a lot of fights in Mexico in association with Matchroom Boxing and DAZN.
