Canelo Alvarez is one of the top boxers of this generation. He has won multiple world championships in four different weight classes. He has done it all, from light middleweight to light heavyweight. Canelo is known for his work ethic and dedication to staying fit. However, he will break all the rules for some breadsticks. Canelo loves to eat breadsticks during his training camp.
Canelo Alvarez narrated a story of how his daughter caught him snacking on breadsticks during a training camp. He said, “I always eat three or four of these Nutella.” However, his daughter intervened and said, “Nutella sticks again, Dad?” Even a world champion like Canelo cannot resist the sweet taste of Nutella breadsticks.
Last year, Canelo went on the ‘First We Feast’ Youtube channel. He did their Snacked episode, where celebrities broke down their favorite snacks. They gave him classic Mexican snacks like Pulparindo and Sabritones, to global staples like M&M’s and Nutella. Álvarez also cautioned the audience about the effects of snacking. Toward the end, they gave him some Nutella breadsticks.
Canelo defeated John Ryder in the first week of May. He has revealed that he wants to fight Dmitry Bivol in a rematch to avenge his loss. Canelo fought Bivol with an injured hand. He went to Los Angeles to get surgery to repair the damage. Canelo feels that the rematch will differ since he has no injuries. However, neither boxer has started contract talks for the rematch.
Who will Canelo Alvarez fight next after defeating John Ryder?
Canelo Alvarez recently defeated British boxer John Ryder in their title fight. Alvarez dominated Ryder for the better part of the 12 rounds and retained his super middleweight championship. He also managed to knock down Ryder in the later rounds.
Canelo has insisted on facing Dmitry Bivol in a rematch. He went into their first fight with an injured hand. Alvarez needed surgery to treat the wounds he sustained while training. In his last fight against Ryder, Canelo looked relaxed and fought with confidence. Canelo declared his intention to fight Dmitry Bivol again to avenge his second career defeat.
David Benavidez also remains a probable opponent. Benavidez is of Mexican descent, and a title fight between two Mexican boxers in Mexico remains possible. Seeing who Canelo Alvarez chooses as his next opponent after John Ryder will be interesting.
