Boxing fans all around the world are excited to see Canelo Alvarez defending his super middleweight title against challenger John Ryder this week. Alvarez will be putting his WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO super-middleweight titles on the line as he returns to his home country.

The fight is Going to take place inside the Akron Stadium in Guadalajara, Mexico and the hype around it is humongous. The last time Alvarez fought on his home turf it was in 2011 when he retained his WBC light middleweight title. This was a long-awaited return that will definitely be welcomed by a huge Mexican crowd.

Alvarez is making his return after undergoing a hand surgery that took place during his last fight against Gennady Golovkin which he won by unanimous decision. The win helped him bounce back from the previous light heavyweight loss against title holder Dmitry Bivol last year. It was Alvarez’s second-ever career and he will be looking forward to taking revenge in his rematch against the Russian later this year. However, before that, the Mexicans has to take care of John Ryder.

Rayder in his last fight won the vacant WBO interim super-middleweight title by defeating Zach Parker in London. This made the Brit a default challenger for Alvarez’s throne. Even though Alvarez is the fan favorite going into the fight, Rayder is not an easy fight. The 34-year-old has a great experience and this will be the biggest fight of his professional career.

The whole fight card along with the main event bout between Canelo Alvarez and John Ryder will be shown live on DAZN. Fight fans can purchase the PPV event at $79.99, however, existing DAZN subscribers can watch the fight at $54.99.

In the UK: The main card is set to get underway on Sunday, May 7 at 5 p.m. local time in Guadalajara, which is 7 p.m. ET / 12 a.m. BST and fans can buy DAZN PPV to watch the main card at 4 a.m. BST.

In the US: The US fight fans can watch Canelo Alvarez vs John Ryder’s pay-per-view broadcast on Saturday, May 6 at 7 pm ET. The main event ring walks are expected to start at approximately 10 pm ET.

In Australia: Australian boxing fans can watch the live stream of the fight on DAZN and the event will start on Sunday, May 7 at 9 a.m. AEST with the main event starting at 1 p.m. AEST.

In India: In India, the fight will start at 4:30 AM IST and fans can buy DAZN to watch the live stream.
