Furthermore, Alvarez was able to win the bout after out-pointing Charlo and securing a unanimous decision victory.
Many people were doubting Alvarez after his recent slump in terms of his performance inside the ring. Prior to this match, the 33-year-old stated that he had recovered from his wrist injury and was at his peak. In addition, Alvarez has proved his doubters wrong with his skillful performance at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Furthermore, after the match, there was a public commotion between Stephen Jackson and the security. Apparently, Jackson did not let Alvarez’s family pass first, and a fan and the security asked him not to. Subsequently, he justified his actions while exiting by stating, “We can go too. Why we gotta wait?”
The commotion began after the former NBA player and his family, along with several fans, were stopped to allow Alvarez’s family to pass first. However, apparently he had to wait for about 30 people to exit and eventually lost his cool. Furthermore, Stephen Jackson addressed the incident by stating that he was asked to wait so that Alvarez’s family could exit.
Subsequently, the NBA legend agreed and waited respectfully until 30 people exited. Jackson justified his actions because if 40 more people identified as Canelo Alvarez’s family, he would have to wait longer. Hence, he decided not to wait anymore after reaching the limits of his patience.
