“I’m not comfortable at all,” Chael Sonnen believes Tommy Fury will not show up to fight Jake Paul again come August 6
Jake Paul- Chael Sonnen- Tommy Fury
MMA Legend Chael Sonnen has given his verdict on Jake Paul talking on Tommy Fury come August 6, 2022, and it’s rather a bold prediction against the event managers to listen to. A prediction that if comes true might be disappointing for Paul’s fans and even more so for Fury’s fans. Sonnen has been talking highly of Paul’s ability to promote the sport of boxing on a bigger scale and has hence been subtly supporting what Paul has achieved so far unlike the majority of the combat sports world who are still sceptical of Paul’s entry into the world of boxing.
Sonnen, a former multiple-time UFC title challenger and a semi-finalist for the Bellator MMA Heavyweight Grand Prix of 2019, has been actively making videos on Youtube talking about various things happening around in the world of combat, majorly his originally practised sport of collegiate wrestling and MMA. Sonnen is also an analyst for ESPN MMA, a promoter for Submission Underground and a commentator for Eagle FC.

Chael Sonnen announces this time to be the last to talk about Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury
In one of his videos on his Youtube channel, Chael Sonnen begins by talking about how much uncomfortable he is in response to the announcement of Paul fighting Fury and his belief in Fury stepping out of the competition before the fight. Don’t get confused as Sonnen however, misunderstands the fight date to be August 13 whereas the fight is taking place on August 6.
“Well, I’m out. This is the last time I talk to you about Jake Paul vs Will [Tommy] Fury,” says Sonnen “I’m just sharing I’m not comfortable doing this piece [this video on the fight] in all fairness, I’m not comfortable with this fight, I’m not comfortable with this back and forth, I’m not comfortable that telling you guys on August 13 live at Madison Square Garden you’re going to see Jake Paul v/s I don’t think he is going to show up [talking about Fury], so this is the last time I speak on it…” continues Sonnen indicating he’s not a hater but it seems for him that Fury has made it crystal clear that he doesn’t want the fight.
What do you make of Sonnen’s comments on the fight not happening once again, do you resonate with that as well? What are your thoughts on Paul making waves as a successful boxer and boxing promoter, do you think he opens a bigger opportunity for recognition for the sport of boxing? And finally, who do you think wins the fight between Paul and Fury? Paul and Fury are fighting in the main event at Madison Square Garden and the co-main event comprises Amanda Serrano defending her titles against Brenda Carabajal.
