A New York woman has accused Heavyweight boxing legend, Mike Tyson of Rape in early 90's and has filed a $5 million civil lawsuit.

Former Heavyweight Boxing champion, Mike Tyson is yet again set up in a tussle of criminal charges. The 56-year-old has recently been accused by a New York woman of rape in the early 90s.

The official suit was filed against the boxing veteran in New York for a compensation of $5 million. The victim of the alleged criminal charges stated ongoing physical and psychological harm inflicted upon her by Tyson.

Tyson was born and raised in Fort Greene, New York where he began training in boxing at the age of 13 after meeting his mentor and guardian angel, Cus D’Amato. Tyson went on to become the youngest Heavyweight boxing champion at the age of 20 years.

Throwback to when Mike Tyson punched a passenger on a flight

In a video made viral by TMZ Sports in 2022, boxing legend Mike Tyson was seen brawling with a passenger on an airplane. The video surfaced and went viral after the former world champion was seen punching a fellow passenger.

“He was f***ing with me,” Tyson said in his justification of the attack. In the video, Tyson is clearly seen charging at the passenger and striking him with punches.

However, no charges were filed against Tyson by the San Mateo District Attorney’s office. “These include the conduct of the victim leading up to the incident, the interaction between Mr. Tyson and the victim, as well as the requests of both the victim and Mr. Tyson that no charges be filed in this case,” the District Attorney’s office released a statement against pursuing charges based on “circumstances surrounding the confrontation.

Mike Tyson later went on to react to this incident on the Jimmy Kimmel Show and handled the controversy with a comical approach.
