“Floyd Mayweather in woman’s body” – Claressa Shields feels like Money Mayweather after getting hate throughout her career

Claressa Shields, the proclaimed GWOAT of boxing is all set to step foot inside the boxing ring again and she couldn’t be more ready. The multi-division women’s champion compares her career to that of Floyd Mayweather after all the animosity surrounding her.

Claressa Shields might have tried her hand at mixed martial art in the last year but she is back to where her heart truly belongs. Shields is all set to make her return to boxing against the legendary Savannah Marshall. Shields vs Marshall is set to take place on September 10th at the iconic O2 Arena. This bout is going to be a historic bout as this is the first time two women will be headlining a boxing event in Britain.

This upcoming fight will unify all the major world titles at 160 lbs. Leading up to this fight, Claressa talks to MMA Junkie about her upcoming bout and believes she is getting a lot of hate lately. It’s almost as if the doubters want her to lose now. “It’s kinda like I’m Floyd Mayweather. But I’m in a woman’s body,” said Claressa talking to MMA Junkie in the latest interview.

Claressa Shields says the boxing world WANTS her to lose

Shields is currently the unified WBA, IBF, and WBC champion. She has held multiple world titles in three championships and is also a two-time Olympic Gold-winning boxer. She is also 12-0 in her professional career currently and believes the haters are waiting on her downfall. “They want me to lose and they’re going to say anything to make her feel like she’s better,” said Shields.

Though Claressa commends Savannah Marshall for her amazing career, the American boxer sees herself on a different level from the Hatepool boxer. “I mean look, I accept her knockouts because they’re there. She’s 12-0 with ten knockouts but go and look at those girls’ records,” added Claressa while talking about Savannah’s boxing career.

Claressa also got a lot of criticism for her first-ever loss in her combat sports career in her MMA fight against Abigail Montes. She is currently 1-1 in her mixed martial arts career and has vowed to return to the sport and become a champion one day.
