In the middle of their ongoing legal battle, boxing legend Manny Pacquiao received a sharp callout from Conor McGregor. At the ‘The Day of Reckoning’ boxing event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Irishman captivated the audience. Furthermore, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder, two heavyweight boxing sensations, appeared on the massively stacked card. Subsequently, at the event, McGregor stole the limelight with his antics and a flashy callout.
When asked about his next fight in a recent interview with iFL TV, McGregor immediately called out boxing superstar Pacquiao. McGregor went on to dare Pacquiao to increase his weight in preparation for a fight in Saudi Arabia. Conor McGregor stated that he was already in talks with Pacquiao for a fight, but Pacquaio backed down from the deal.
Subsequently, McGregor mentioned how this led to their legal dispute, and now Pacquaio was legally inclined to pay him $8 million. In addition, McGregor stated:
How about me vs. Manny here in Saudi? How does that sound to you? Wouldn't you think Manny should have to come up in weight, considering it's his sport?Conor McGregor via iFL TV
During the Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou boxing match in Riyadh, McGregor expressed his annoyance over an $8 million settlement issue. This further intensified the long-running rivalry between the two sports legends, since they had another canceled fight in 2021.
Subsequently, Paradigm Sports stated that Pacquiao signed a deal with them while lying about an existing management agreement. In addition, Paradigm Sports took this to court and sued for damages exceeding $20 million. According to reports, Paradigm Sports was awarded $5.1 million in damages by the jury in this case.
Conor McGregor’s awkward interactions with Cristiano Ronaldo
On Saturday night, Cristiano Ronaldo and McGregor were sitting next to each other. They attended the Day of Reckoning fight night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to watch massively stacked cards.
Although the two had already had multiple encounters, many were taken aback by their most recent one. Subsequently, Ronaldo largely ignored the Irish superstar over most of the time they were seated next to one another. They spoke for 30 seconds, after which Ronaldo didn’t say anything while sitting with an uncomfortable expression on his face.
However, after a few awkward minutes, the two got along and were also seen having a good time. McGregor was being himself and even proceeded to compare their watches, so their contact wasn’t completely awkward.
